Army specialist John dedicated seven years of his life to serving our country, which included tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. John’s duties included work as a Chemical Operations Specialist, a soldier trained to handle all types of weapons threats as well as decontaminate hazardous material spills or accidents, and biological or nuclear releases. John’s career was curtailed due to a traumatic brain injury (TBI), as well as other injuries. After an extended stay at a military hospital, John returned home with a permanent disability. John is assisted daily by his wife, who serves as his caregiver. SALUTE was happy to assist this injured soldier and his family when they reached out for help with their mortgage.
