Twenty years of service in the US Army provided Sergeant Joshua with a deep satisfaction that he had served his country to the very best of his ability. Now retired, Joshua was looking for a civilian job to help support his family of five. With a 100% service connection, Joshua had a daily battle with PTSD and lingering damage from a traumatic brain injury incurred during one of his six combat missions. Searching for a program to help him cope with his challenges, he was welcomed at a hospital-based Intensive Outpatient program (IOP). SALUTE assisted with three mortgage payments to help alleviate his financial stress while he was focusing on his treatment. Joshua and his family have a promising future, with three young children to keep them on their toes and moving forward.
